Sofrito 🇩🇴 (Sazón Licuado)

Dominican seasoning… the glue that holds all of our dishes together. Rice, beans, meats, fish etc. All Caribbean’s make their own version of this but it’s the staple in all of our dishes. Living in the U.S. it’s hard to find certain ingredients such as culantro (recao) and aji dulce (aji gustoso) unless you live somewhere like NY or FL. I have to substitute the aji dulce with cubanelle pepper and sometimes it’s a hit or miss finding culantro.

Yuca al Mojo

A delicious dish from my country the Dominican Republic but can be found all across the Caribbean and other latin American countries. Super easy to make and to save time you can use frozen yuca (iykyk)
