Bag of Hot Cheetos (I only used half)
1/3 cup of flour
1 egg

Instructions

1.In a food processor, blend up your hot cheetos to dust
2.In one bowl add the hot Cheetos, in another add the flour, and in another add an egg. First cover in flour, then the egg, then the hot Cheeto dust. Then Repeat one more time
3. Freeze for 1 hour
4.Pre heat air fryer to 400° F then air fry for 5 minutes

Ingredients

The Cheese & Base:
  • 1 net of Babybel cheese (6–12 pieces)
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
The Spicy Crunch:
  • 1 bag Flamin' Hot Cheetos
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic powder (Optional) mix this into the flour
For Cooking:
  • Cooking spray for Air Fryer

Method

  1. Prep Cheetos: Place the Hot Cheetos in a food processor or a Ziploc bag and crush them until they become fine crumbs. Transfer to a shallow bowl.
  2. Bread Station: Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with the beaten eggs, and one with the crushed Cheeto crumbs.
  3. The Double Coat (Secret for Success):
    Remove the wax from the Babybels.
    Coat each cheese in flour, then dip in the egg wash.
    Roll in the Cheeto crumbs.
    Repeat: Dip back into the egg wash and then into the Cheeto crumbs again. This double coating ensures the cheese doesn't leak out!
  4. Freeze: Place the coated Babybels on a tray and freeze for at least 30–45 minutes. This is the most important step to prevent the cheese from exploding before the crust is crispy.
  5. Cook:
    Air Fry: Spray with a little oil. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 4–5 minutes, turning halfway through.
  6. Serve: Serve immediately while hot and stretchy. Pairs perfectly with cool Ranch dressing or a drizzle of honey.

Notes

  • Don't Skip the Freeze: If the cheese is at room temperature when it hits the oil, it will melt too fast and leak everywhere.
  • Finely Crushed: Make sure the Cheetos are very finely ground. If the pieces are too big, they won't stick well to the rounded edges of the Babybel.
