The Sticks
6thick slices Brioche or Texas Toast work bestwax removed
150gramsNutella
3large eggsbeaten
80mlWhole Milkfor maximum crunch
1tspVanilla Extract
30gramsButterfor the pan
The Coating
100gramsGranulated Sugar
1 tspGround Cinnamon
Method
Prepare the Sandwiches: Spread a generous layer of Nutella on 3 slices of bread. Top with the remaining 3 slices to create sandwiches.
Cut: Cut each sandwich into 3 or 4 uniform vertical strips (sticks).
The Batter: In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
The Coating: In a separate shallow bowl, mix the 100g of sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Dip: Briefly dip each Nutella stick into the egg mixture, coating all sides. Do not soak them too long or they will become soggy.
Cook: Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the sticks in the pan and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Roll: Immediately after removing them from the pan, roll the hot sticks in the cinnamon sugar mixture until fully coated.
Serve: Serve warm as they are, or with a side of fresh strawberries.
