Ingredients

  • 1 can (12.4 oz) pack Refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1/2  cup Whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp Butter for the skillet
  • Maple syrup for serving

Method

  1. Open the pack of cinnamon rolls and place each one between two sheets of parchment paper, and flatten. Pierce the flattened rolls with a fork a few times each to help it soak up the french toast mixture in the next step
  2.  In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract
  3. Dip the cinnamon rolls in the mixture
  4. In a pan sprayed with some cooking oil, cook the cinnamon rolls on medium low heat. Flatten them with the spatula as they rise. This helps it cook through more. Be careful not to burn them, because the cinnamon can burn.
  5. Flip them and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add about 1/3 cup of water then cover with a lid so they can steam until the water evaporates

Notes

    • Storage Tip: These are best enjoyed fresh, but you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Simply reheat in a skillet with a tiny bit of butter to bring back that crispy edge.
    • The Viral Secret: For that extra "TikTok look," don't be shy with the icing! Drizzle it while the toast is still hot so it melts into all the cinnamon swirls.
    • Shop My Kitchen: I get asked all the time about my cooking tools! You can find the exact Non-Stick Skillet and Silicone Tongs I use in this video right here in my Amazon Influencer Shop.
